This is a hybrid water and smoke tube design that adheres to IBR specifications. The furnace is built on the FBC (Fluidized Bed Combustion) principle, in which air is forced to flow over the bed by an FD fan via numerous nozzles placed on the bed. The water wall is utilized to circulate water through the tubes in order to achieve water circulation; this water wall is located above the furnace chamber where FBC combustion occurs. Heat transfer occurs in the water wall by radiation between flue gases and the water wall, conduction via tube thickness, and convection between the tube and the water within, raising the temperature.
